Welcome to the Rugged Pineapple travel blog, a website devoted to the pursuit of the unknown and sometimes unwelcome but always entertaining stories from the road.  This site will be compiled from stories submitted by you the traveler as well as stories from a rag tag band of floaters who landed in the same spot in Costa Rica and took over a hostel... One year, three deportations, one stolen driveway, thousands of dollars in legal fees, and many many coats of paint and all nighters later, we've decided to start telling the stories we love and love hearing.  Please send in all of your own stories or ideas for posts and we'd love to share them with the twisted community that thinks dysentery on a midnight train in Bolivia and sneaking into a yard with a hose to wash out your pants, just makes the trip that much greater.
